| 8/21/2012 | parent | Panorama is a very special place, made so by the great mix of people who all give a little extra and make it happen. We have been under served by the district, the board, the state, and yet we always find a way to get through. We are a community in the truest sense of the word. Every one on the staff and the teachers, with limited resources, gives 110% . I give the principal leadership 3/5 since we share him with the other elementary school. so its a good grade, considering it equates with 6/5 if he were full time. Great effort but we do suffer from not having a full time leader, |
| 10/21/2011 | parent | My daughter Nia has been at Panorama for three years and it is a wonderful environment for her early school experience. I can't say enough about the loving teachers who all have known her by name since her first day of kindergarten. Mr. Carvey, the new principal is dedicated and motivational. The parents who are involved are awesome, of course we would love more parent help, but what school wouldn't? It is a small, safe and "highly effective" place for my daughter to grow. Thanks Panorama family. |
| 3/20/2011 | parent | The "highly effective teaching" method is non traditional, but an emphasis on the state standards has pulled test scores way up. after school program is cheap and safe, and there are always extra programs like science and chess after school and a great junior giants field with great baseball teams and coaches. lots of field trips and a focus on life skills and becoming thoughtful citizens. Its been perfect for our family. |
| 1/23/2010 | other | I am very impressed that Panorama thrives with so many cuts, so many demands on staff and school, and little resources. Part of it is due to a dedicated staff, and part of it is due to a smart, young principal who care about children, and won't let dwindling funding stop her from helping all her children. |
| 5/20/2009 | parent | Panorama Elementary is a great school. It's small size allows kids to have a personal relationship with their teachers and the administrators. The teachers at Panorama genuinely care about the kids and work hard to prepare them for the higher grades. The philosophy at Panorama is not to teach kids WHAT to think in order to pass tests, but they teach kids HOW to think. I would much rather have my son learning critical thinking skills anyday. I think they do great and I know my son will be more prepared for the advanced grades because he has learned problem solving, critical thinking skills and other life skills that will make him a better person as he gets older. |
| 1/15/2009 | parent | The pricipal is a young dynamic person who has a vision of bringing the brilliance of every child. There is a lot of parent involvement with the school. The class sizez are samll. It is lacking some extra curricular activities due to (budget constraints, but it also receives support fromthe Daly city Rec Dept, with the after school program.) It is a great school. |
| 10/22/2008 | parent | I am also a parent with a child at Panorama. I truly love this school. I just wish that they had sport activities and a year round music and art program. But the school and the teachers and the principal are extreamly caring and the libary is the most fantastic school library that I have ever seen. |
| 10/21/2008 | parent | Panorama is an extraordinary school. It is as good as any private school, yet has a small, community atmosphere. The new principal is excellent. |
| 8/24/2005 | parent | The teachers at Panorama have been extremely accomodating to my child who has special learning needs. We feel most fortunate to have such a dedicated community. |
| 6/24/2005 | parent | Great life skills. Have a great music teacherand are a very active in the community. Parents are extremely dedicated to the school. |
| 8/25/2004 | parent | Panorama is a great school. They thrive on life skills and helping children. They are a small school. They have a variety of subjects and programs for the kids. |
