| 6/8/2011 | parent | This school has left me and several other parents disappointed in this years graduation progam and field trips. My daughter has been there since kindergarden and her only field trip was in the 5th grade "Chucky Cheese "when all other neighboring schools went to Bush Garden, Disney, ect. Their recent graduation or as they call it "Move Up" program was the worst. There was no acknowledgments made for the teachers or the kids and awards were not given out that day. It left the parents and kids with the feeling of bewilderment wondering why Dipolmat Elementary could not do something more special for their kids. Again, neighboring schools made this day special for their students. Overall, the school is good but these events make memories that last a life time and are just as important to students. I hope for the future the school will put more effort into their events and it doesn't have to be a hugh expense. I have another daughter starting in the fall and hope to see these changes. |
| 3/28/2011 | parent | This is a GREAT School for kids! The principal is a tremendous motivator for the students and discipline is taken seriously. Both my daughter and son have attended all grades at Diplomat. All the teachers are excited about teaching and both my kids love the celebrations when learning goals are met. My kids have read more books than I have in my life time...and I have an MS degree. |
| 9/20/2010 | parent | The parents are great, administration is strong, students are great! |
| 5/20/2010 | parent | My daughter loves this school and her teacher. Again as in most schools, the teachers are great and the administration is average. Still overall it is a good school. |
| 8/24/2009 | parent | My daughter is know in fifth grade and has been there since Kendigarden. Her and I have enjoyed the school trimendously. The teachers are wonderful and she has made so many well adjusted friends. |
| 5/27/2009 | parent | My son is in the 4th grade now and my daughter also went to this school and I think that this school is wonderful! The administration is always there when you need them and the staff is very helpful as well. The teachers all seem to do their best as well. I am very proud of this school. |
| 12/18/2008 | parent | My son is in 2nd grade and my daughter is in K. I cant say enough about this school. All the staff is amazing Ms. Curuso is the best!! There are so many wonderful things to say about all the teachers but espically two that are dear to my heart Ms. Mckeever & Ms. Bales, we love you. I love being involved with the school. Just amazing!! |
| 12/30/2007 | parent | All 5 of my children went to Diplomat Elementary, and the Principal and school staff are excllent. The Principal has a high standerd for the students as well as her staff. I now have grandchildren and my daughter wants her child to go to Diplomat as she has said she has gotyten a good education from Diplomant and all of this is due to the commentd Ms. Caruso has for her stundents and staff. |
| 7/19/2007 | parent | My daughter has attended this school for the last 4 years and I am extremely pleased with not only her academic progress, but with her social skills that have been taught to her as well. It began with her kindergarten teacher, Ms. Balletti, and has been re enforced by each and every teacher she has had since, I feel the principal does a fine job ensuring that her teachers and staff are of the finest quality and I feel blessed that my daughter has had the privilege to attend this fine school. | 2/1/2007 | parent | I think Diplomat is a wonderful school and uses great alternative ways of disciplining, like teaching our children responsibility, honor and courage! Those are qualities that we can benefit from as an adult. The staff and teachers at Diplomat are very kind and informative, I am so glad I chose this school for my children. My daughter is a first grader and she loves school! My youngest will start next year and I am confident she will also be successful at Diplomat! Thank you for caring Diplomat, it shows! |
| 9/18/2006 | parent | I am the parent of a kindergartner at Diplomat Elementary. I feel my son is learning a great deal, but I also feel that the amount of homework for a child his age is ridiculous. I am not able to get him into extra-curricular activities because we don't have time at night for practices. Once he gets home from school he eats dinner, does his homework, and then takes a bath to get ready for bed. Since his father and I both work full time he is a part of the dawn to dusk program which is very helpful, but it doesn't give him much time to play and unwind after school. |
| 8/8/2005 | parent | This school has an awesome organizational structure and effective discipline. I never had a problem waking my son up for school and he never said he didn't want to go. They have a before/after school program that is a lifesaver. The teachers and staff really care about the children and have a lot of pride. A+++ |
| 1/23/2005 | parent | Diplomat is a A rated school. They have the best teachers that have been there for years and all know each other well. The teachers there have always been there to help when ever needed. They have the parent hot line for each teacher so you always know the homework and have a idea about what they are learning for the week. They also have a program were some teachers move up with there students. Wich means that when your child is in say 2nd grade the teacher that is in that with them moves up to 3rd grade with them. It is great because they get to start working on 3rd grade work earlier. My daughter was also a mentor wich is a 3rd grade student who takes a younger 1st grade student under their wing and help them in reading, math, ect. |
| 12/17/2003 | former student | There is one very exceptional teacher who works at Diplomat Elementary- Ms. Marody, and that's enough to make that school great! |
| 12/2/2003 | parent | This is a wonderful elementary school. It is a public school with the feel of a private school. The children that attend this school show alot of discipline and good manners. Ms. Caruso is a very good principal, the children absolutely adore, and respect her. |
| 6/12/2003 | | my daughter added diplomat from kindergarten until the middle of 3rd grade when we moved away out of state..she enjoyed her yrs there and learned a lot..the teachers and staff are very good. |
