5/19/2011parentRolling Terrace, I guess, from what it sounds and looks is pretty good for the spanish immersion side. The teacher:student ratio is lower and most of those classes have teacher aides in them. For students on the "otherside" its not so. But what would the you spanish immersion parents care or know for that matter about the rest of the school....
4/20/2011parentFollowing up, I wrote the June 12 Review - We wish we had stayed at RT in the Spanish Immersion program. The school is warm, welcoming, and fun. The Tiger Paws incentives are fun for the kids and really incent them to work hard. The school my daughter is in now seems cold and unfriendly next to RT. We moved out of the area and miss our old school.
3/3/2011parentGreat Spanish Immersion Program, great diversity, and a fantastic principal. Really love the school spirit my daughter has shown. She really loves earning "Tiger Paws" for good behavior and has made some wonderful friends.
1/20/2010parentthis is a good school and mrs.friesen a 5th grade teacher is so helpful
6/7/2007parentWonderful teachers. Great diversity. Peaceful atmosphere. Spanish immersion program is dynamic.
6/7/2007parentMy child is just finishing kindergarten at RTES. Strong academics, good immersion program. Communication with parents could use improvement. Approaches to problem-solving are very traditional and kids seem forced into a one-size fits all approach.
3/8/2007parentWe came from a private language immersion school;RTES has great program, small classes, dedicated staff, involved parents. Art, music, after school science. Racially and economically diverse; The transition from public to private was a challenge, but RTES is the right fit for us.
1/28/2005parentI have a Kindergardener in her 6th month in the school and after much reservation due to the #'s I must say I am very very pleased. She had a strong pre-K curriculum in a private school and the academics have picked up where they left off ie. working with her phonetic alphabet understanding in 2 1/2 months at R.T. she is reading rhyming books from front to back and doing math at a 1st grade level. She comes home excited about her music, art or gym classes and has very patient and caring teachers in this area. I'm also very impressed with the experience of the teachers. My daughter's teacher has 30+ yrs and it truly reflects in her classroom design and the success of her students. Parent involvement in the school is good. Volunteering is encouraged.
10/30/2003parentHas a wonderful Spanish immersion program and good racial diversity. Wonderful teacher/student ratio.
