| 10/29/2012 | other | I am a student at Anderson in 8th grade and absolutely love it there. Since there are only two classes of 32-33 people (per class), i really feels like a family. I have been with the same kids since kinder-garden; although some left for Delta or Hunter or just moved, even the new kids fit in fine and easily become part of our Anderson family. I have been in this school for 9 years, and absolutely positively love it. I have a bunch of friends, great teachers, and mostly fun projects and homework. Anderson offers an honor program for 7th and 8th graders who take the regents in January of 8th grade instead of the regular time in June. Every teacher at Anderson is great and will definitely help your child succeed in whatever it is they are doing. The school offers an extended day program for 37 1/2 minutes after school to help students who need extra help in a certain subject. Anderson also offers many sports without much competition since there are only about 64-66 kids per grade. This school is definetly for anyone who loves to learn and who loves to have fun in school, like last year we learned about the Puritans so we held a Puritan school day with Mrs. Feick! Anderson!!! |
| 3/21/2012 | teacher | In addition to top-notch academics, Anderson values the arts. Our students receive classes in visual arts, dance and music. Teachers are encouraged to use creativity in their lessons, and are not required to teach "one-size-fits-all" scripted lessons. The administrators know their stuff, the parents are wonderful partners in education, and the children are full of joy and wonder. It is a pleasure to work at Anderson! |

Students are well educated in the well-organized regular school programs combined with great extra curriculum programs. School size is ideal. The best k-8 school in NYC. |
| 9/30/2010 | parent | The school excels at academics and enrichments for the students. And is superb at communication. |
| 9/30/2010 | parent | PS334 The Anderson School, a school dedicated to the educational needs of highly gifted children is a New York City public school that is comprised of the most inspired and creative teachers and lead by a warm and dedicated principal who truly cares about the children. Being a NYC public school Anderson is subject to budgetary limitations but an amazing group of parents from all walks of life work together [and work hard!] to continually raise money and seek out grants to help make the difference between a merely good education and an extraordinary one. I'm so thrilled that my child is lucky enough to attend this wonderful school. |
| 9/29/2010 | parent | Anderson has a caring and supportive staff (including teachers and administrators), they are working hard in the academics, they provide additional activities and assistant teachers with an active PTA. |
| 9/29/2010 | parent | Having been an elementary school teacher in the public sector during the '60's, The Anderson School represents the perfect example and model of how public schools should be run throughout the country. Its education principles, creative achievements and high performance among its students populated with outstanding teachers, assistants, parents, staff and children is a joy and enrichment to the community at large. Unfortunately, the only drawback is that the requirements to attend are so competitive that only a small percentage of children are able to attend. To this end, this is why The Anderson School should be a model for other public schools around...it is an excellent example of 'Education Nation'. |
| 9/28/2010 | parent | It's an amazing place where the parents, administration and teachers all work together to create an inspiring learning environment for our kids. |
| 9/27/2010 | parent | The Anderson School offers high level of attention, accelerated curriculum, and a caring staff. The parent body is very active and involved. It is the number one we still live in New York City. My child is excited to go to school everyday. |
| 9/27/2010 | parent | It's an inspiring public school success story!!! |
| 9/27/2010 | parent | Wonderful peer group, smart and caring teachers, warm and involved parents. |
| 9/27/2010 | parent | Dedicate caring teachers and staffs. |

| 9/27/2010 | parent | Anderson is a great school.My son love it very much. |
| 9/27/2010 | parent | Enthusiastic and extremely competent staff, energetic and engaged parents, bright and curious kids. It all makes for a warm and vibrant school culture where the kids are excited to be. |
| 9/27/2010 | parent | The students and staff of The Anderson School are full of individuality, creativity, and uniqueness. The teachers are passionate and sensitive to all students and the students are given the space to grow and prosper into young adults. |
| 12/12/2009 | parent | The teachers are excellent. The kids are learning so much and having fun while doing it. The elementary science teacher is amazing. |
| 11/18/2009 | parent | I am in sixth grade, and have been in this school since kindergarten. I have had numerous oppurtunities to go to different schools, yet every year I come back to Anderson. Why? Anderson is a friendly community with great and creative teachers. Fun events and activities take place nearly every week, and the staff is great. The student council actually has an impact on the rest of the school, and every kid who goes, whether or not they like to admit it, and even if not for every class, looks forward to enjoying another day at school. |
| 10/3/2009 | parent | Anderson offers children an advanced academic program in grades K-8. The teachers are great; the curriculum is challenging. Students graduate from Anderson Middle School ready for any of the most challenging of high schools. |
| 9/21/2009 | student | It is a small school but it is very advanced. As a alumni i can proudly say that it prepared me for high school very well. The small school creates an amazing learning environment and provides opportunities other schools can not. |
| 8/17/2009 | parent | Though this school is one of the very few schools in NYC that teaches at a higher level, the leadership is not supportive when there is a problem in the school and does not take appropriate action. |
| 1/29/2008 | student | Good school with good people... ^^ |
| 12/7/2007 | parent | This school has great academic scores. The teachers are really nice, and helpful. They understand you needs and try to help you as much as they can. Our math cirriculum is always a year ahead. Our baseball team has won the playoffs every year. All the kids are kind and respectful, and this is the ideal school for any child to go to. |
| 5/28/2006 | parent | Excellent academic school. This is for the high achieving student who has a high reading and math score. Also, they are able to take the Math A and Earth Science Regents in the 8th grade. School is treated on a Private School level even though it is a Regular Middle School. My son is playing on the baseball team and loves it. Outstanding teachers and authorities. |
