| City of Lies - 6/22/2021
I have lived in this city for 9 years with my children and experienced the worst in my lifetime. Police are not supportive. Pedestrians get hit or run over. Gardens get vandalized. People steal your belongings. Schools are segregated. They had a Nazi teaching some students English but neglecting others. Faculty feel they should not keep parents informed. They keep raising rent and taxes. They added divets to the road to prevent cyclists from using them. City officials are ill mannered and dismissive.

| Great schools! - 5/23/2011
Moved here with my 3 sons and husband in spring of 2009 and am really impressed with the elementary and middle school here. (Spring Hill Elem. and Bennetts Mill Middle) My kids have continued to excel with great teachers and especially love our middle school principal, Mrs. Presley-King. She doesn't miss any of the after school events and makes a point of noticing the children and their leadership abilities! We move a lot and so happy that we landed here!

| Summer and Winter - 1/30/2010
In Summer, it's hot and dry, 80-90F easily, every day. If there's a breeze it's more tolerable, otherwise, I find it pretty oppressive.
Winter can be a bit more erratic; cold one week, a little warm the next. Definitely need to keep an eye on the forecast. Though, the slightest chance of snow can shut down schools, if you're into that kind of thing.
All in all, doesn't seem like many stretches of enjoyable (50-60F) weather to me. Wouldn't mind moving.

| It's home to me - 8/14/2009
Overall, I like Fayetteville. I grew up here and it will always be my home. It's changed a lot over the years mostly growing. I remember when some of the only sit down places to eat in Fayetteville included Shoney's and the Chick-fil-a Dwarf House. But, it's good for a city to grow, it brings in more businesses and jobs, and while there's more traffic and perhaps more chain type businesses than there used to be I still love it. Housing is nice, you're always just 20 miles south of Hartsfield airport and Atlanta, and the schools are great.

| Crime rate going up...population changing - 3/20/2006
As the population changes, it appears to me that the crime rate is going up. I haven't studied statistics....just going by what I see and read in the paper. Thinking about moving away.
