I am one of those Californians that fell in love with Prescott. We bought a home there two years ago. I must say, I agree with the other comments. We have lived here for 2 years and have seen great expanses in home construction. The town council members don't appear to be concerned about responsible growth. You've taken the city I remember in the 1980s as a nice, modest, unassuming, picturesque little town and once again, as you've done in so many places in the west, turned it into a super-fast growing city where yuppies drive families out of the housing market, sleazy realtors come from California to turn a quick buck, and local wages don't come close to making up for a cost of living that has quadrupled in the last decade.
