t":"Bentonville, Arkansas is a small city located in the northwest corner of the state. It is known as the birthplace of Walmart and is home to the company's headquarters. With a population of around 50,000, Bentonville offers a mix of urban and suburban living, as well as a strong sense of community. The cost of living is relatively low and the city boasts a variety of outdoor activities, restaurants, and cultural events. However, like any place, it has its pros and cons. Let's take a look at what some users have to say about living in Bentonville.
According to user \"Sarah\" on BestPlaces.net, Bentonville is a \"great place to raise a family.\" She praises the city's good schools, low crime rate, and friendly people. She writes, \"I have lived here for 10 years and have never once felt unsafe. The community is very involved and there are plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy.\" Another user, \"John,\" echoes similar sentiments, stating that \"Bentonville has a small town feel with big city amenities.\" He adds that the city has a \"low cost of living and great job opportunities.\"
On the other hand, user \"Katie\" has a different perspective. She describes Bentonville as \"boring\" and \"lacking diversity.\" She writes, \"There are not many options for entertainment and the city is pretty homogenous. I often feel like an outsider.\" Similarly, user \"Ryan\" shares his disappointment with the city's lack of public transportation. He writes, \"Unless you have a car, it can be difficult to get around Bentonville. The bus system is not very reliable and there are no trains.\"
Overall, it seems that Bentonville offers a safe and family-friendly environment with affordable living and job opportunities. However, some users have noted the lack of diversity and limited entertainment options. The city's transportation system may also pose challenges for those without a car. Ultimately, the decision to live in Bentonville may depend on individual preferences and priorities."}],"requestId":"4851d188-5f98-4cb7-aea0-7f906973af8f","

Good and not so good. - 4/8/2023
I've lived in Bentonville for 5 1/2 years and think it's a great city for families. There are tons of activities for kids and everything seems to be geared to young families. That being said, there isn't much for senior citizens. There are a lot of people who move here and say the same thing - people here are friendly on the surface, but don't expect them to invite you over for dinner. It's hard to make friends if you are a senior citizen and don't have kids. It's a great place if you already have family here, otherwise not so Read More

Beautiful but not much social life! - 12/20/2019
People are friendly when out and about for the most part. Lots of people from India and CA are moving here. Walmart owns and controls EVERYTHING from the police department and politicians and dictating what restaurants / stores that can move in the area.Trust me when I say you can definitely feel and see the control. Good luck trying to find organic food that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. $3.00 each for one organic cucumber (Totally ridiculous) unless you shop at Walmart and you can get two for $3 which is still expensive and they're not very good tasting most of the time. The other grocery stores in the area have to keep their prices high so you to shop at Walmart unless you're willing to pay the extra money and I do mean extra!!! Mercy Healthcare System totally sucks! Nobody cares and you deal with a bunch of incompetent Idiot's that can't do their job correctly especially in the call center that you're forced to deal with since your doctor's office doesn't have a staff to Read More

Big little town - 3/1/2019
What’s not to like about this charming city set in the gorgeous North West Arkansas. It has the best air quality of the nation, serene natural beauty, all the amenities of a large down with a small town feel. There are job opportunities, affordable housing, parks, music venues, cultural museums. Housing values are at a steady upward climb if 6.7%. Win win for everyone. With Steady growth the city will need to continue to proceed with continued road widening but all things point to a competent structure that will maintain its families needs without compromising a wonderful living experience for all families. I love this place, my families been here for over 30 Read More

An honest review - 2/25/2019
Town is growing to quickly; reminds me of Las Vegas in the 90's. people moved here because it was small and southern; now it is being overrun by West Coast folks who are fleeing the damage they did to the West Coast and bringing those same attitudes here. It is not Read More

Traffic, population overgrowth - 7/11/2018
We haved lived in Bentonville nearly 10 yrs. during which time we have seen massive growth both in tourism and residents. The infrastructure is not there and schools are having a hard time keeping pace. They are building a school every 2 years meaning property taxes are rising quickly. I miss my small town feel and ease of getting around. It is no Dallas but there is a reason I chose Bentonville and it was not Walmart. The schools are fantastic and cost of living is relatively low ( for now). I feel like the city needs better planning to get ahead of the growth or even to slow the growth. Apartments are going up everywhere to house the workers Walmart brings in on visas. Schools must rezone boundary lines about every 2 years meaning your child may change schools that often. I am still very glad I live there and have no plans to move Read More

in a nut shell - 11/21/2010
NWA in a nut shell. its a corporate town. most people are no here any longer than 3 yrs. or so. they do their time here as a vendor or with Wal-MART. Most people are nice. The majority are from the northeast, Texas or California. Primarily big cities. Traffic is more than the towns can handle. They're aren't enough bypasses and rush hours are terrible. They're seems to be quite a division demographically speaking. Corporate transplant and lower income. It's cosmopolitan here with lots of stores. Not much else unless you go to Branson, Mo. which is 2 hrs. away. Eureka Springs is on the way. Read More
