Anatolia is Great! The rendering plant is not! - 3/27/2022
This city has two sides. If your thinking about moving to this area, look only in Anatolia. The houses are newer, nicer schools / parks, and close proximity to just about everything. 20-25 minutes from down town, 15 minutes from Folsom, and access to Sunrise Blvd which is littered with restaurants / shopping.

I have lived in Anatolia off of Sunrise for a little over a year and my neighborhood is so quite, its almost boring. No crime, no constant sirens, decent neighbors, and you could buy a really good sized home on a good sized lot for decent $$$. My only complaint is the rendering plant. When they are producing, it puts a smell in the air that is unbearable, especially if your sensitive to smells (I am). After dealing with the odor on/off for a year, I will probably move because of it. Other than this, I like the area a Read More

If you want rain, move somewhere else - 8/9/2015
Although we have been in a drought for a few years, we never get much rain. If you like it hot in the summer (90's to 100's) and reasonable in the winters (high 30's to 50's) and only about 10 - 18 inches of rain per year, then this is the place. I want more rain and cooler Read More

do not stop or live in rancho - 4/12/2013
if you are not military or of ethnic origin this city will watch you die. don't be unfortunate enough to get sick here. If you stop here, you are a resource to be used. If you get sick here you will see the hard side of medical care. They will not help you unless you fork over obscene amounts of money. Drive farther west or east to find help. If you are white this city is not for you. I never thought I would see this kind of behavior in America, my native country, but I am shocked to say Sacramento and more particularly rancho cordova is not a good place to stop or live. move on. It's a pot hole in the road, avoid it or pay the Read More

Rancho Cordova a city in transition - 6/26/2012
Rancho Cordova was an unincorporated area of Sacramento County and was neglected until local residents organized and voted for cityhood in 2003. The majority of the city is composed of modest housing with longtime residents. A good amount of retail exists within the city and the prime areas for shopping are safe. There are other areas which are unsafe to live so when thinking about Rancho Cordova location is the key. Newer areas south of Highway 50 have attracted many families as well as professionals looking for affordable homes, amenities (parks, bike trails, and good schools) and safe neighborhoods. The nearby American River is also a desired recreational hot spot. Some of the newer areas are served by a different school district than Folsom Cordova and there is access to some high performing schools. The city is one of the few in California with a budget surplus and the city has the ability to move forward with civic projects that will increase the quality of life for residents. Read More
