Shasta Co. is way too hot! - 1/30/2015
Ive lived in Shasta Co. for a good 30 years, and the summers have always been exceptionally warm. But over the last 10 years or so, the summers have gotten almost unbearable. Shasta Lake, the Dam City - 1/14/2007
Shasta Lake is small community 8 Miles North of Redding. One of the major boat Launch ramps (Centamodi Ramp), on shasta Lake is just 3 miles to the North East of town. The Bass and Trout fishing on this lake is some of the best in the country.

The town was bult as a temperary city to support the construction of Shasta Dam in the 30's and has a lot of the old temperary buildings still being used for housing and business, however that is changing. We have new commercial development on our main street, Shasta Dam Blvd. New residential subdivision activity the south and west of town that compete with the Redding housing market.

I retired from the real estate business in 2003. sold out in Redding and went debt free. We purchased a new manufactured home in Twin Lakes Estates and have never been happier. Lots of true friends, 1.5 miles from the boat ramp and all of the conviences of a small town close to a larger urban area.

It's a great place to Read More
