Review of Shasta Lake, California

Shasta Co. is way too hot!
Star Rating - 1/30/2015
Ive lived in Shasta Co. for a good 30 years, and the summers have always been exceptionally warm. But over the last 10 years or so, the summers have gotten almost unbearable. Its not unusual to see 115 at least one or two days per year. And, every year in July and August temps hover around 110 degrees for weeks. And, if you like other seasons, we have another one...winter. Summer typically last until October and then its winter until February, and THEN it starts warming up for summer again. If you cant swim, Shasta Co. NOT the place for you, because the only reprieve is Shasta Lake. When I tell you Shasta Co is smokin', I mean smokin from the heat!
