This is a nasty, vile, racist town that would rather elect a well known White Nationalist racist to the school board than change their racist school name. High Cost of Living - 1/9/2014
Killingly is in my opinion not a great place to live anymore, the cost of living is to high. Most jobs in town are now low paying retail. We use to have mill/factory jobs but they have dried up. Most people have to travel to find higher paying jobs. Taxes have steadily gone up, which is understandable, but I do not see increased value or even the same level of value. I have lived in Northeastern Ct. for a good part of my life and in Killingly for most of it. I think the quality of life is good there and the community keeps up with progress. The public schools are good quality and there is also a good community college. I have traveled to many small towns across the USA and I must say Killingly's down-town strip continues to have shopping options and less vacant store fronts than I have seen in many other small towns.
