Glasgow, Delaware is a small town located in New Castle County. With a population of just over 14,000, this community offers a suburban feel with easy access to both major cities and rural areas. To gain a better understanding of what living in Glasgow is like, I have summarized user reviews from the website BestPlaces.net. These reviews provide insights into the pros and cons of living in this particular place, including comments on the cost of living, schools, and overall quality of life.

According to user "Debbie" who has lived in Glasgow for 10 years, the town has grown tremendously in the past decade and offers a variety of suburban amenities. She praises the community for its friendly atmosphere and highly rated schools, stating, "Glasgow is a great place to raise a family. The schools are top-notch and there are plenty of local parks and recreational activities for kids." Similarly, user "Mark" appreciates the affordable cost of living in Glasgow, saying "I moved here from New York and couldn't believe how much further my money went. The housing costs are much more reasonable and there's no sales tax."

However, not all reviews are positive. "Samantha" notes that while the cost of living may be affordable, the job market is limited and the commute to larger cities can be long and frustrating. She also voices concerns about the town's lack of diversity, saying "Glasgow is not very diverse and I have experienced some racism here, which is disappointing."

On the other hand, user "Linda" enjoys the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of Glasgow, stating "I love living here because it's a small town where everyone knows each other. It's safe and has a close-knit community feel." She also mentions the abundance of nature and outdoor activities in the area, making it a great place for outdoor enthusiasts.

In summary, the user reviews for Glasgow, Delaware provide a mixed perspective on living in this small town. While many praise the community for its family-friendly atmosphere, affordable cost of living, and good schools, others mention potential downsides such as limited job opportunities and lack of diversity. Overall, it seems that Glasgow offers a suburban lifestyle with easy access to both rural and urban areas, making it a desirable place to live for some, but not for others.

Glasgow DE a perfect fit for some - 10/1/2016
Glasgow is a unincorporated town just south of Newark. Glasgow is racially diverse, with a sizable mix of whites, blacks, asians and hispanics. It is a place for families and seniors, but not a perfect match for singles or gays. There is very little nightlife, but there are lots of liquor stores. Glasgow has three shopping centers and a large park. It is very pet-friendly. There are lots of churches, the largest is Saint Margaret of Scotland RC Church. It is the beginning of the South with northernmost stands of loblolly pines and willow oaks, cottonmouth snakes, and ABC stores. There are lots of eating places. It is convenient to larger east coast cities, and housing is somewhat Read More
