Cooper City, FL is a vibrant city located in Broward County, Florida. It is known for its excellent schools and highly rated parks. The city boasts a variety of attractions such as the Cooper City Sports Complex which has numerous sports fields and playgrounds, the Brian Piccolo Park and Velodrome providing biking trails and an equestrian center, and the Fern Forest Nature Center offering hiking trails and educational programs. Residents also enjoy shopping at the local boutiques in the Downtown Shopping District. There are plenty of places to eat out with friends or family as well as various entertainment venues.
Residents of Cooper City are generally very pleased with their hometown. People appreciate the safe neighborhoods, peaceful atmosphere, good schools, and abundance of recreational activities they can enjoy year-round. Many parents feel comfortable raising children here thanks to the numerous amenities that make it easier to raise a family. In addition, people love the convenience of having all their needs within reach since there are multiple supermarkets, malls, restaurants, bars, and parks around town. Overall people are generally satisfied with life in Cooper City meaning it's a great place to live!

Great schools, parks, close to everything - 1/24/2022
We moved here in 2018. I have to say, having lived all over the world, this is the best place if you can afford it. The only downside is the cost of living is high. For our kids, this is truly an amazing place of opportunity. Our kids bike to school every day of the year, four of them by themselves. They pack ponchos for rain. High school, middle school and elementary schools are all top notch. All of our kids have made great friends here and we in turn have befriended the parents. The cultural diversity is 2nd maybe only to LA and New York. We have friends from Trinidad, Venezuela, South Africa, Cuba, England, Bangladesh, you name it! We went for a bike ride over the weekend and discovered that 3 miles away is a guy who raises camels! There are plenty of good restaurants in Cooper City. But if you want to out for a night on the town, Miami is just minutes away. Fort Lauderdale is even closer. Want to see the Everglades? 20 minute drive. The weather is south Florida. We have had the fortune of living in Cooper City for the last couple of years. The military moves us frequently and we are sad to be leaving this wonderful little community. The schools are great, everyone is friendly and the weather is nice year-round

Housing, Taxes, Insurance totally out of control. - 4/19/2007
We moved here from KCMO almost 3 years ago as we thought it might be great for segwaying into retirement. We were totally wrong as the cost of living is out of control. Mainly housing, taxes, insurance. Bottom line, no way will my wife and I retire here. You can live in Tuscon for half the price and get alot more sunshine and a lot less
