Working and serving in this area helping friends #searchnflorida for three plus years we've met some of the kindest and most loving friendly neighbors. We believe this area is the place we want to consider home, too. Best of all the business commuity is outstanding. We've met many friendly locals and they usually like to say welcome to the "City of Southern Charm" and for anyone who is considering relocating to Jackson County Florida you'll hear everyone talk of the VIP honorable U.S. Air Force history and "City of Marianna Municipal Airport and the underground natural caves at the natural discovery historical site Florida Caverns State Park." -j-

Great Place to live if... - 9/9/2008
... you like heat, humidity, swamps, mosquitos and fleas, and an uneducated population. The schools are awful, awful, awful and there is nothing here. No real "town" - it's all out by the interstate and it's just one chain store after the other. It's 70 miles to Tallahasse, 50 miles to Panama City and 35 miles to Dothan. Be prepared to drive if you want any quality of life at all. Oh, yeah, get religion before you get here (the Baptist kind is preferred) or you won't get invited to anything. We got transferred here by my husband's job with the federal prison system and after 14 months, I fled with the kids and my husband got transferred as soon as he could.
