West Miramar - 10/18/2005
Miramar has three distinct parts. The old, which is bordered East of University to 441. The newer section which is East of Flamingo to West of University and the newest section which begins West of Flamingo Road. People in the newest part of Miramar wants to segregate themselves and call themselves West Miramar.
I do not blame them.
The crime rate in Old Miramar is much higher and the homes are old and much less appealing in value than the newer parts, example, Sunset Lakes, Grand Lido Isles, etc.
Anway, I am in the middle, my home is only 4 years old and I love the area of Miramar that I am in. It is kid friendly and I feel safe. I live minutes away from work and is in close proximity to the mall, restaurants and other amenities.
