What BestPlaces Users Say about Mableton
Mableton, Georgia is a small town located just outside of Atlanta. It has a population of approximately 40,000 people and is known for its affordable housing and family-friendly atmosphere. However, like any town, it has its own unique characteristics and challenges that residents have experienced. Here are some user reviews from Best Places that provide insight into what it's like to live in Mableton.
According to user "Emily" on Best Places, Mableton is a "quiet and peaceful place to live." She praises the town's low crime rate and friendly community. Another user, "John", echoes this sentiment by saying, "I've lived in Mableton for over 20 years and it's been a great place to raise my family. The schools are good and there are plenty of parks and outdoor activities for kids." Both Emily and John highlight the family-friendly aspect of Mableton, making it an ideal place for those with children.
However, not all reviews are positive. User "Jessica" notes that while Mableton is "affordable compared to other areas in Georgia," the traffic can be overwhelming. She mentions that the roads are often congested, making it difficult to get around during rush hour. Despite this, she also mentions that there are "plenty of shopping and dining options" in the area.
Another user, "Mark", offers a more negative perspective. He states that Mableton has "a lack of amenities" and "not much to do for young adults." He also mentions the "run-down" appearance of some areas in Mableton. This review highlights some of the challenges that residents may face in terms of limited entertainment and recreational options.
Overall, the user reviews about living in Mableton are mixed. While some praise its family-friendly atmosphere and affordability, others mention the challenges of traffic and limited amenities. Ultimately, it seems that Mableton may be a suitable place to live for families and those looking for a quiet, suburban lifestyle, but may not offer as much for young adults seeking a more vibrant community.

Ok, Mableton is in Cobb county, one of the more progressive counties in the metro ATL area. And by progressive, I mean trying to improve its community for the better. There are pockets of higher crime as it is adjacent to Atlanta and Fulton county. The more affluent cities in Cobb are Smyrna, Marietta, Roswell and areas generally referred to as east and west Cobb. Mableton is an affordable community, but it does NOT carry the snob factor that other parts of Cobb county project. On the positive side, lots of jobs, home values are rising, the immediate area is home to Amazon distribution center, FedEx and UPS hub. Home Depot is HQ'd in Cobb county, as is Lockheed-Martin. On the negative side, crime, primarily property, however as ATL is so close, there is an overflow of violent, drug and related crimes as well. Traffic to the locals is bad. But I've never been "stalled" for hours in it, then again, I choose the times I "roll". I find it manageable, unless you have to drive cross
