Beautiful Place, Lots to Do - 9/16/2022
It's a little too sprawling in the town itself for what I'm looking for, but the surrounding and just outside of town areas are beautiful, densely green and the native Idahoans are amazing, as they are pretty much everywhere I've lived here in the Northern parts of Idaho. I don't think it's fair to caste all of Sandpint in a bad light because of some of the recent transplants who seem more interested in creating the Beverly Hills they could never afford while in California, I think their mindset is rare, but yeah, it's felt in some places. Ignore them, they are definately in the minority, and focus instead on the scenery, recreational activities and the majority of residents who are down to earth, somewhat traditional and not out to make a statement. I'm not a member of any clubs or a church, but I've made many friends who live in the Standpoint area and they are a blast, super down to earth and accepting of everyone, no matter how rich or poor you're perceived to be. Sandpoint is awesome - 10/3/2019

We have been visiting Sandpoint for years and now own property and plan on building our retirement home here! I found many of the reviews to be very biased and untrue! The people of Sandpoint and the surrounding areas seem to be exceptionally friendly to me and my wife! I have found the business people to be remarkably responsive and also quite helpful! Climate— well its a ski town in the Pacific Northwest. It rains and snows here regularly- big surprise right! If you want dry and arid don’t move here. We love Sandpoint and think it deserves to be ranked very high in Best places to Read More

Sandpoint is a small town with a lot to hide. The doctors can't do there jobs . the people are very rude an stuck up. There is no sense of community unless you fit in to the rich groups. Everything is over priced from food all the way to home buying. An the town is full of crime and drugs. There just good at hiding it. It's a horrible place to raise a Read More

here for 10 yrs, an overview - 12/16/2018
moved here 2008. had a lot of expectations of an artist environment. Very disappointed in the overall living. The community is very depressed. Community support of music is dead. There is no jobs here, keeping the locals on medicaid. Eating out is limited and inconsistent due tot he fact that no one pays up here. Ultilites are through the roof ( Avista). Getting help here is almost impossible. E Everyone wants to be paid cash 20 per hr, THE MAY SHOW, BUT MOST WON'T.Totally RED, white flight region. Crimes never solved, just in past year, 2 murders of elderly..nothing solved. LOCK UP, GET SECURITY, and just shut up. THATS BONNER BONNER COUNTY. Don't be Read More

I love Sandpoint - 10/23/2011
I have lived in just outside of Sandpoint for almost 6 years. I can see it from my basement windows across the lake. It is a beautiful area with a good small town environment. There is a lot to do out doors from simple walking to skiing, mountain biking and hunting. We are finally getting a byway finished that will route the big trucks around town. I have enjoyed it and am soon moving to a new location for another adventure. Check Sandpoint out, you will like Read More
