My Town, Chicago - 11/17/2012
My husband and I have lived in Chicago for over 5 years. I always like to describe Chicago to others as having all the amenities and conveniences of a big city with a small town charm.
There are so many things to see and do in the city, but it's not like NYC that seems to never sleep. You have everything from museums, zoos, theater, shopping, sports, restaurants, pubs, bars, etc. There are also many parks and of course the beaches along the lake. Chicago is absolutely amazing in the summer with events going on daily downtown and throughout the neighborhoods like music festivals, food festivals, art festivals, even free dancing classes, movies in the parks, etc. So much to do, you can't ever be bored. Another exciting even is the annual Air & Water Show. The week prior there is so much anticipation downtown as you hear the jets training for the weekend performance. The sound of the jets flying between the skyscrapers is a unique experience. There are also several sports

Most Beautiful City I've lived - 6/5/2012
I've been very lucky to live in numerous places both here in the U.S. and also in England. Chicago has got to be one of the most fun, entertaining,
cultural, fantastic water front, school system, etc. I can't number them all. Every town has it's problem areas and Chicago is not different than the rest. I myself have no problem staying away from those specific areas and I don't feel as if I'm missing anything because of it. Public transportation is great (sold my car).
Unfortunately, I am being transferred to Louisville, Ky. for one year to work for the Norton Medical Group and would appreciate any help concerning that

Chicago is great - 4/19/2012
That is all a lie. Chicagoans are in fact quite friendly for a huge city. And weather is fine in the months of May, June, Septmeber, October. And many people love hot summers in July and August! And there is miles and miles of beaches; who cares if it's on an ocean or not. What were you planning to do..drink the ocean water or something? It looks the same as an ocean beach when you are there so what does it matter? And Chicago beaches are clean, do your research. Santa Monica beaches in the Los Angeles metro area are dirty, and that's on an ocean. And Chicago, being a metro area of nearly 10 million people, has amenities that dozens upon dozens of other metro areas do not have, yet at a lower cost of living than living in New York or L.A. for those amenities. I've been to many cities around the country and Chicago is one of the best. In some ways even more desirable than NY because you get all the amenities without the price. In NY, you are just paying to say you live in New York, but
