Newburgh Indiana The American Dream - 6/8/2022
We have lived in Evansville, Indiana for 23 years but recently built a home in the Historic Downtown Newburgh Indiana area. Newburgh is an absolutely beautiful town along the Ohio River. Across and down the street are restaurants, bars and shopping like a quaint city of old. In the summer, most weekends are filled with farmers’ markets along the river, special food truck and music events, and special event for the kids. The architecture is stunning and the people are wonderful and friendly. The police station is a few blocks down the road and we see and know our local policeman who make this town one of the safest areas in the country. The elementary school is one block away and we love hearing the children play during the school year. We are so grateful to have found a community built on solid values where neighbors are supportive of one another with a shared goal of making Newburgh Indiana one of the best places to Read More

Great Historic town, Awesome Schools - 9/14/2012
We moved to the are 5 years ago for a job in Evansville. We chose Newburgh specifically for it's beautiful historic downtown on the Ohio River and for it's highly rated school system. Castle Elementary, Castle North Middle School, and Castle High School all rate very high on great schools.com as do other schools in Newburgh. We have not been disappointed with our choice. We are also very close to the East side of Evansville where all of the new shopping and restaurants continue to develop. Fresh Market, Pier One, Banana Republic Outlet, Target Greatlands, just to name a few. Our Mall is small but new stores are coming in all the time like Forever 21. Macy's, Dillards, and Jc Penneys are the anchor stores. The area is great for families, but if you are a 20 or 30 something looking for awesome nightlife, I'm not sure that is something you will find much of Read More

Fresh Market, Target great lands, pier one, banana republic outlet, barnes and nobles...etc. The mall in Evansville is small but new stores have been making their way like forever 21 and others, plus the regulars like jc penneys, Macy's, and Dillards.
