More Laid-back Country Feel in Destrehan - 7/27/2008
If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of New Orleans, then Destrehan is a great place to look. The crime is significantly lower, and the schools are the best in the state. The whole community has a real country feel to it, and everyone is very friendly in this small town. The commute to the city is only 20 miles and well worth it. Crime Rate In Destrehan, La. - 3/5/2006
We are being transferred to the New Orleans area and are thinking about buying a home in Destrehan, specifically in Ormand Subdivision. Destrehan is approximately 20 miles outside of New Orleans and I heard the crime rate is pretty low. Could you provide any feedback on this matter?
