New Orleans isn't the richest or finest city in the country, but I've travelled the world and lived in different places, and no city in America is as rich with culture and tradition as New Orleans.

My family goes back six generations in New Orleans--my mom was born in the ninth ward. I have a public school education, a college degree, a great job and see incredible changes taking place every day. Life is a struggle right now and the big easy ain't quite so easy, but it sure as hell beats living in a boring homogenized metropolitan like Houston.
