The Ville - 8/27/2022
My wife and I resided in the Vansville area of Beltsville for close to 30 years. Several of our immediate neighbors have also lived on this block for the same period of time. A week before Christmas, the local volunteer fire department comes through with several trucks and Santa Claus bringing up the rear. We have great access to the cultural riches of Washington DC, Baltimore, MD and a short drive to the Atlantic Read More

We have always complimented the local police on their quick Read More

Prince George County police are very slow to respond to 911 calls even when it involves violent crime. It seems the police dept. is under staffed and treat 911 calls as a nuisance. Our neighborhoods was encouraged to create a Neighborhood Watch but have had a few positive meetings with the local PD and little else. Community involvement among residents is non-existant. I have lives in Beltsville for 30 years and I am very discouraged by the negative turn it has taken in the last 5 years. I am very sorry to post this negative review but I must be honest. There are many places I feel safe, Calverton Shopping Center is one. However, the surrounding neighborhoods are a bit frightening and strolling about after dark is downright Read More
