in response to "No Crime" - 2/14/2012
My spouse is a police officer and Westminster isn't crime free; nor is Carroll Co for that matter. Most of what goes on doesn't make it into the paper in the 'wanted' section; keep your doors locked! The place isn't as safe as you Read More

No Crime - 4/14/2011
One reason I moved to Westminster Maryland is the crime rate. I guess I should say the lack of a crime rate, which would better explain. There is a local paper that has a "wanted" section. I kinda get a kick out of reading it. Now I'm not saying crime is funny but, when you have lived in an area with a crime rate and then move to an area where the wanted section is looking for somebody because they jumped bail on a suspended license charge, or a bad check charge, it's a more secure feeling you get. Cost of living HIGH in MD regardless of city - 7/12/2006
The cost of living in MD is high regardless of where you live now that BGE has stuck out it's greedy hand and is raising rates 30-72%. Senior citizens and single parents or one-worker families can't survive without extra income. Property taxes are high. Electricity is high. The counties are getting greedier and the State is greedy. It doesn't even have money to help the disabled. I know this first Read More
