Lafay & Croley are the best teachers, move here! - 9/11/2019
I've lived in DeWitt for 4 years now, I have to say the teachers at DeWitt are my favorite. Jason Lafay and Jeff Croley are truly the personality of the school. They make it enjoyable. It is hard to make friends if your not into sports, or "groomed" to DeWitts appearance. It is a lovley place, it just lacks diversity. If you are looking for something to do, you can get food, shop at meijer, visit one of the many parks, get a haircut, visit one of the many doctors, shop at meijer, or go to the lake Geneva private beach.

It is made mainly of subdivisions, with the side of elderly. There is pretty much no change here. Although there is people coming in and out so there is mostly new people every other year. There is a DeWitt community page on facebook to keep you up to date on things happening on the community. Overall it's a nice place to live, you just have to travel 10min to lansing for to do something, and the school is very sports & academics focused. Read More

Decent Place To Live - 5/3/2016
For the most part, I've really enjoyed living in Dewitt for the past 7 years. The town is usually nice and clean and has very little crime in the area. The only real but only slight problem is some of the people. The town is not very diverse like other towns which makes fitting in a little more difficult for people. I've seen it, personally I've never had this issue but I know for some other people that this has been a slight issue because of the fact that the city is predominantly white and Caucasian. I really like the fact that the city is smaller and within weeks you basically understand where everything is and its easy for you to access these things. I highly recommend this city for people who want to live in that smaller atmosphere and have everything more so planned to live around a lake because Dewitt also has a Read More

Good Community. - 5/3/2016
Dewitt, Michigan is a good little community to live in. It offers a good school district for kids, a diverse community to get along with, nice public areas to socialize in, and it is close to the State's capital. Dewitt also offers a number of helpful businesses that range from department stores, to sit down restaurants. However, if you are looking to live in a more rural city, Dewitt will offer a slim selection. Another drawback to Dewitt is the lack of things to do. Going to the park, or out to dinner everyday does get boring after awhile. But as I mentioned, Dewitt is located near Lansing, where there is a wider range of activities to take part in. However, the location of Dewitt also has it's drawbacks as well, such as weather. The weather is never consistent, and if you hate cold winters, you may want to search for something farther south. Despite Dewitt having bad weather and lack of activities, it still does offer a good community to be apart of.  Read More

Dewitt Culture - 5/3/2016
Life in Dewitt feels boring. There is not many recreational activities for families to enjoy besides getting ice cream or going to the park. Which doesn't seem to fit that well with the long winters you experience living here. I find myself traveling to Lansing multiple times a week. As for the people in Dewitt, most are middle class white families. Dewitt seems to have a status that everyone revolves around. I would recommend life in Dewitt for the average stay at home soccer Read More

Good - 5/3/2016
DeWitt is a really good place to bring a young family. The school is very good and the city has a couple of parks to bring young kids. The people are generally welcoming and accepting of people. One downfall of living in DeWitt could be the lack of diversity. The population within the school and community is predominantly white, middle class families so there is not much exposure to different cultures. For some this may not be so bad, but for others looking for a good all around experience it could be a turn Read More
