What BestPlaces Users Say about Springfield

Springfield, Missouri is a city located in the southwestern region of the state. It is known for its rich history and cultural attractions, including the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World and the Dickerson Park Zoo. With a population of over 167,000 people, Springfield offers a diverse community with a variety of neighborhoods and amenities. However, as with any place, there are pros and cons to living in this city. Here are some user reviews from BestPlaces.net that reflect the experiences of individuals living in Springfield, Missouri.

According to user "Sara" who moved to Springfield from Texas, "Springfield has truly become my home. The people here are genuine and kind, always willing to lend a helping hand. The cost of living is affordable and there are plenty of job opportunities in various industries." This highlights the welcoming and affordable nature of the city, as well as the availability of employment opportunities.

On the other hand, user "John" has a different perspective. He writes, "The traffic in Springfield is horrendous. The roads are poorly planned and constantly congested. It can take me over an hour to get to work, which is only 15 miles away." This shows the downside of living in a growing city, where traffic and road infrastructure may not be able to keep up with the increasing population.

User "Jane" shares a positive experience, stating, "I love the weather in Springfield. Summers are just hot enough and winters are mild. There are also plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy all year round." This showcases the favorable climate and opportunities for outdoor recreation in Springfield.

However, not everyone is satisfied with the weather. As user "Mark" expresses, "I hate the humidity in Springfield. It's unbearable and makes it difficult to enjoy outdoor activities in the summer. I would much rather live in a drier climate." This highlights the personal preference aspect of living in Springfield and the trade-offs that come with it.

Overall, the user reviews on BestPlaces.net showcase a mix of positive and negative aspects of living in Springfield, Missouri. From the welcoming community and affordable cost of living to the traffic and climate, it is clear that the city has its strengths and weaknesses. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to weigh these factors and decide if Springfield is the right place for them to call home.

Geat place to live, no jobs - 2/8/2006
If you are moving here then you are in for a treat. Friendly people, cheap housing. GREAT food. close to Branson. You can get a hotel there for a week end or longer and feel like you are on vacation even if you want to run to the house for something. Beautifull rolling hills. Not much pay for jobs. If you make 9 dollars an hour your golden. It's a college town, so they can get away with cheap pay.My suggestion is to move to NIXA just south by 5 min's. houses are expensive in Nixa, but the apartments are cheap. I had a HUGE 1 bed and bath with washer dryer hook up for just under 400 a month. (eaglewood apartments, carmen is the land lord VERY nice) Very safe neighbor hood. Just south of Springfield. Easy 5-10 min. commute. Bank one is the easiest place to get on with great pay. It's a call center at republic and campbell. You can opt for no out bound calls. Read More
