A great place to raise children and make friends - 1/29/2009
With the beautiful 50-acre Lake Tranquility in town, there is a unique opportunity to meet many nice people and participate in events at Lake Tranquility, which has a nice sandy beach and a clubhouse for functions. These include a family pig-roast, family Christmas party, New Year's Eve for adults, and a huge July 4th picnic bash complete with fireworks and games for the young and old alike. There is a swim-team that competes with other lakes, and your child will love being part of it. My boys started at age four. The parents experience as much enjoyment as the kids do. Green is a closely-knit community, and people are friendly and help each other out. The natural beauty of the Allamuchy Mountains and the abundant cornfields in the town create a naturalistic environment. People here appreciate the natural beauty and are determined to preserve it.
