With its proximity to both New York City and Philadelphia, many residents appreciate the convenient location. However, there are some downsides, such as high property taxes and a lack of diversity. Let's take a closer look at what actual residents have to say about living in Jackson.

According to user reviews on bestplaces.net, the overall consensus is that Jackson is a great place to raise a family. One user, John, shares, "I've lived in Jackson for over 20 years and have loved every moment. The schools are top-notch and there are so many activities for families to enjoy." Similarly, Kim says, "Jackson offers a great quality of life for families. We have access to great schools, parks, and restaurants, and the community is very family-oriented."

On the other hand, some users highlight the high cost of living in Jackson. Mary states, "While the town is lovely, the property taxes are incredibly high. It's becoming increasingly difficult for retirees and young families to afford living here." Another user, Mike, adds, "I've lived in Jackson for a few years now and the cost of living continues to rise. It's becoming less affordable for the average person."

Despite the criticisms, many residents still appreciate the small-town charm Jackson has to offer. Sarah shares, "I moved to Jackson from a big city and I love the change of pace. The town has a quaint feel to it and the people are friendly." Overall, it seems that the positives of living in Jackson outweigh the negatives for most residents.

Jackson, NJ - a place for everyone - 10/15/2015
When my wife and I looked for the ideal location to buy our first house and start a family, our search lead us to Jackson, NJ. Twenty minutes from coastal beaches, rides and nightlife on one of many boardwalks however, far enough away to not be stuck in coastal traffic. As for Housing and Taxes, we found it was more affordable than neighboring towns as Jackson is still on the rise in development and expanding in what it has to offer. Read More

Nice but expensive - 9/25/2007
Jackson is a great town. The high school turns out scholars who go to Ivy League Colleges and has a Football team that has gone on to win 4 out of 5 State Championships over the last six years. The people are friendly and there is lots of shopping and ways to entertain yourselves including Six Flags amusement park. The property taxes are extremely high and therefore most people have to commute 3 hours or more a day to the City to earn a living to afford the expenses in this lovely town. Unless you can make a significant living locally it would be best not to Read More
