Gang Infested - 10/4/2010
Trenton used to be a nice place to live I was born here but moved away in my early teens. I still had family in Trenton and therefore visited often, the city is now over run with gangs and the city looks completly run down. I would not recommend anyone moving there espically with children.Read More

The Weather - 8/11/2010
If you're a person who likes the dramatic change is seasons, then this is the place for you. I want to move toa place where it's basically mild weather...not one day its 90 degrees and then the next it drops down to 69-70...ot there's a cold day in the middle os the summer...it Read More

Trenton, New Jersey - 5/26/2010
I'm born and raised in Trenton New Jersey and like most cities in the northeast it's seen better days.
That's not to say that life here isn't enjoyable.
You do have to travel to Phildelphia,New York or Atlantic City for any type of adult entertainment and while we have our fair share of crime you shouldn't confuse the times we live in with a place.
The neighborhoods have and are changing however it's still a great place to raise a family and live a good life.
As with most towns you tend to fit in where your comfortable...from millhill to ewing (yes, ewing is Trenton no matter who says it's not)you can still find your place in the sun Read More

ZipCode in Trenton or Hamilton - 11/25/2007
We live in zip code 08619 and the street around the corner is 08620 and a couple blocks on the other side is 08690. Trenton is 08611 and for the most part gangs hover there being its inner city.

The other problem is that one of the High Schools known as the Emerald City school is a playground for alcohol and drugs. The superintendent keeps it quiet and away(as much as possible) from the newspapers, except for the good parts that is. But the truth is that if you moving close by this school and your kids will either pass by it or attend, you should be sure to check their pockets. That school has a record of pushers selling drugs to middle school children, for starters.

But there are problems with anywhere you go, whether its gangs, drugs, smog, cost of living, you name its there believe it.

Hamilton\Mercerville is a nice family place and living in our zip code(08619) makes being close to the park that much more wonderful. One of the largest Read More

Low crime in zip code 08620 Trenton - 8/7/2007
Please understand that while zip code 08620 is in the greater Trenton area, it is NOT Trenton!!! 08620 is technically Hamilton Township, and a fairly rural township at that. Trenton's crime rate is actually quite high, maybe like a 6 or 7. This has to do with the resurgence of gang activity. I live very close to the Trenton border (zip code 08619, which is considered Mercerville, Hamilton Twp) and although our neighborhood is great, there are a lot of scary passer-bys. Shootings have occurred less than 3 miles from my home, and vandalism, burgulary are quarterly incidents through out the year. 08620 is a better zip code to live in, but unfortunately, Hamilton twp schools are being infested with hoodlums they are shipping into our school districts from Trenton because they want to provide them with a better educational opportunity. I am all for that if the students chosen to come over show an interest in learning, not bullying other kids and taking over the school. I am looking Read More

Mercer County, NJ is a great place to live - 8/3/2006
Although it rarely makes it to the top of livability rankings, the suburban area between Trenton and Princeton are among the best places to live in the US. It is more affordable, less crowded, greener and more historic than the usually higher rated Middlesex-Somerset-Hunterdon area. In many ways, it's the best of all worlds - bucolic country setting, highly educated and diverse population, excellent schools, and the excitement and employment opportunities of both New York and Philadelphia are just 1 hour Read More

GANG PROBLEM - 7/10/2006
I actually live outside of Trenton in the suburbs. I have lived here most of my life. When I was growing up the kids from Hamilton had little to do with the kids from Trenton.

Since my kids have been in Highschool that has changed. This would be fine except there is a huge gang/drug problem in Trenton. BLOODS

This drug snd crime problems are spilling over into our Read More
