Baldwinsville, NY is a small town in Upstate New York that has a rich history and plenty of activities for visitors and locals to enjoy. The local attractions include the historic Erie Canal Lock 24 Park, Paper Mill Island outdoor amphitheater, and the Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery. Visitors to Baldwinsville also enjoy the shops and restaurants downtown, as well as the many parks and trails in the area. Overall, Baldwinsville has a lot to offer and most people who visit have positive reviews about their visits. Many of those who come to Baldwinsville are amazed at how much there is to do in such a small town. The hospitality of its residents make it an inviting place to visit which often results in visitors wanting to come back again soon.

Home cost is great Taxes are not so great - 11/1/2007
Taxes here are incredible, they have not found a tax they don't like. A 300,000 home tax bill is just shy of a 1,000 a month. That was a huge surprise as I went to closing. My escrow was almost as high as my house payment.  Read More

Nice little village - 1/18/2007
First a little about me. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I joined the Army at the age of 21 and spent 7 years in it. I moved here in the summer of 2005 from Henderson, Nevada. Before that I lived in Giebelstadt, Germany and before that Clarksville, Tennessee.

Baldwinsville is a quaint little community located along the Senneca River just northwest of Syracuse. The school system is great and the village is an active communtiy that has several different festivals through out the year including a summer concert series held on Paper Mill Island, which is the site of a real amphitheater.

The only real draw back is that the area is developing quickly. I've only lived here for a year and a half and I already notice an increase in traffic.

Overall I am really pleased with the area and consider it a much nicer area then Las Vegas and Henderson. Oh and one neat thing about CNY is that it has a supprisingly large wine industry, Read More
