Cooperstown, NY is a quaint village located in the beautiful state of New York. It is a popular tourist destination and renowned for being home to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The village is filled with a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions including the Farmers' Museum, Fenimore Art Museum, Doubleday Field, Leatherstocking Golf Course, and Glimmerglass Opera House. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor activities such as biking and hiking at nearby breweries or sampling some of the local delicacies.
Cooperstown has something for everyone! It's no surprise that it receives high reviews from visitors who come to experience this unique village. With so many activities to explore and wonderful scenery to take in, visitors will find themselves coming back time again. There are plenty of places to stay ranging from cozy bed & breakfasts to luxury resorts. Dining options are diverse with delicious local cuisine available at various restaurants. A great place to retire. - 4/25/2009
Cooperstown has many positive attrubutes including a world class hospital (Bassett), a great gymn and sports center that costs only $100.00/yr for membership, and a georgious lake with docking privileges for residents. We have an art museum, a historical village, several art galleries, summer opera, and 2 concert series.

Most people put up with the summer tourists, who help pay our taxes. To me, the major drawback is cold long winters. Most people in Cooperstown go south, at least for a couple of weeks in the Read More

Great Place to Visit NOT to Live - 10/15/2007
Hang on to your wallets friends!
The locals laugh at taking (tourist) money all Summer and spending (your bucks) in FLA all Winter.
Prices are over inflated in the Summer months!
