Denver NC (Lake Norman heaven) - 11/16/2015
Moving from a more active city in Florida, I also agree that Denver NC is a slower pace type of town. Much more rural than most towns, but the thing I like the most about it is the most beautiful Lake Norman. Also it really isn't too bad of a drive to get to the shopping /restaurants that you would want to go to. There is Huntersville with their Birkdale Village only 20-30 minutes away depending on where in Denver you live. Then you can hit highway 16 to 485 and get to Northlake mall in about the same time. Alternativly Mooresville and all it has to offer is not too far away if you live on the north side of Denver. You get more value in the homes for sale here, you do get a small town feel where you see people you know around town and I dont hear of a lot of break ins so I believe its fairly safe too. Read More

Denver living - 12/28/2014
Living in Denver NC is definitely quite and a slower pace than I'm used to even though we don't have a Starbucks there is also not a lot of bars or very much crime. The schools in Lincoln County are great, with a child to teacher ratio about half of what we had in Charolette - Mecklenburg. It's a quite lifestyle but close to everything, about 15-20 minutes to Downtown Charlotte as well as Lake Norman each depending on where you live. We have two beautiful private golf courses Westport has housing on Lake Norman or the course, a fitness center with a full size swimming pool, zero depth kids play area as well as tennis courts. It took me a bit to get to the slower pace, however my kids loved it the minute we moved here. ?? Read More
