Fuquay Varina - 7/13/2013
Do not ever make the mistake of moving to Wake County, NC. The rudest, unfriendliest people ever. Bad drivers, constant horn blowing unlike anywhere I have ever encountered. Definitely avoid the backwards, ignorant, xenobia town of Fuquay Varina. It is a greedy, money hungry state, high unemployment, high cost of living. I moved here from Georgia which has bad traffic, high crime, etc., but I will move back to Georgia before I would stay Read More

Really Great Place to Live - Don't Miss Out!! - 4/6/2007
I am a local Real Estate Broker and Owner of Wray Realty (www.Triangle-NC.com) I grew up in the Bustling Triangle area. I have lived in Raleigh, Garner, Apex, and Now Fuquay Varina.

Fuquay Varina is a great place to live and raise a family. This town is very dedicated to it's residents. It has a rapidly growing housing and retail market. You can get alot for your money here. It is a place for all home buyers. You can find a home that is 100 years old or New Construction. Prices Range from $100K or less to as much as you want to spend. For $350K you can get a good size home (2500-3000 sf) home with Hardwood Floors, Moldings, Granite Kitchen tops, Custom Cabinets, Screen Porches, and tons more. It is hard to find this around the area.

Residents enjoy being close to Raleigh, Cary, and Research Triangle Park with the benefits of Small Town Charm.

The Town has a city base resident count of around 11,000, but the town pulls from about 40,000+ Read More

10 homes and counting - 5/13/2006
My husband and I moved here two years ago from another state in the south east. We have made many friends here and enjoy the small town feel. We also liked the quality of the homes here for the price. It is more of a "soccer mom" area which is perfect for our family. I like the entire triangle area. Lots to do. It is a melting pot. Fuquay Varina is more affordable than Cary but is a little further drive for the great shopping malls, movie theaters, etc. :). However, it is growing quickly so that could change in the next few years. For $300,000-400,000 you can purchase a new home with granite, hardwoods, stainless steel appliances, the works. There are other homes less than that too, that are nice! The largest downfall would be the overcrowded school system. Wake County is usually ranked in the top five school systems in the US. The county gets 9,000 new students every year and they can not build the schools fast enough. Lots of rezoning and talk of year round schools. Read More
