Nice place for families! - 2/28/2007
I've lived in Wadsworth for 30 years now. It's a nice place to raise a family. It's growing, but still has a small town quality. Very little crime, very good schools, conservative values, plenty of good places to worship, lots of sporting activities. Plenty of work for professionals within a short, fairly easy commute and cost of living is reasonable. The only downfall I see is the weather. If you like lots of cloudy days, rain, and long winters you'll love it here! Our first snowfall in 2006 was in mid-October. The cold weather usually lasts from Oct - through March with temps going up and down like crazy. Spring and fall have a lot of rain. We're lucky if the kids can wear shorts when they get out of school in early June! You never know if the 4th of July is going to be 90 degrees or soggy and 65! In 2006 the 4th of July was cold and rainy, but then later in the month there was a week of solid temps in the 90's. Very crazy. If it weren't for the weather this place would be Read More

This place is like Mayberry - 7/7/2006
I am a sixth generation Wadsworth resident. I moved to California and came back. There is no where on earth I would rather raise my 10 children. Crime is low, there are lots of activities and events, etc. We have it all and are a small town to boot. We still take walks in the evenings and talk to our neighbors. We went from living in virtual poverty with no jobs in California to owning a home, three cars, and two great jobs making four times what we made in California when we could find work. The cost of living is even better Read More

The "excitement" level of Wadsworth - 8/2/2005
I am a 25 year old female and have lived in Wadsworth all my life. The schools aren't bad and we truely have very little crime. Or at least it's not announced nationwide like other cities, but as for fun around here, Ha Ha. Fun is not a word that can be used often here. The only fun we have is the Blue Tip parade every year. Even that is going down the drain. Most of our jobs are iether factory or fast food. We have two movie theaters and one bowling alley. Until last year, you had to go 30 minutes in any direction to even find a decient store. Now we have Wal Mart. Yippie. The streets are quiet and the neighborhoods are nice. It reminds me of Mayberry. But if you are looking for a place that is awake at night and full of life, Do Not move here. It's the equivelant to Florida for the retired Read More
