Crime is rampant and the District Attorney is lazy - 6/13/2011
You can be the victim of a violent crime here and the police and the DA don't give a damn. If youre cousins...and EVERYBODY is cousins, then they'll cover your ass even if you committed a serious crime. The DA can't finish reading a police report, and once that is pointed out to him, he'll denied it and go out of his way to prove that he can do anything because he has nobody to answer to.
The people are mean, the weather is HORRIBLE, the DA is an idiot and a drunk, there are no stores, biggest mistake I ever made was moving here. Save yourself. Don't even come for a visit, but if you do...please take me with you when you Read More

I live in Baker City Oregon and have one of the most untapped areas for outdoor recreation that I have came across. I live between two sets of mountains the Elkhorn Mountains, and the Eagles, both rising over 9,000 feet above sea level. It is a beautiful place to live and raise children.
