Found my Paradise! - 8/27/2021
I moved here from southern California and I have lived here over three years now. I have never been happier anywhere in my life! The weather is amazingly temperate (it is NOT always windy, like some people try to say - at least not on my side of town), access to beautiful Nature walks on the beach or in the forest is right outside our doors practically, there's a lot of wildlife, it is easy to grow lovely gardens and a lot of our own food, the eating establishments are excellent, the people are friendly (I LOVE my neighbors!), my home is bigger/nicer/much more affordable than where I came from, the air quality is better than almost anywhere, we get all the seasons (although, not a lot of snow - just enough to enjoy and not have to shovel) in mild forms, and I feel safe & at peace Read More

perfect climate - 11/10/2012
The rain is Beautiful as it creates lush green grasses and tall thick pines reaching to the coast. You experience every season here but never in a harsh setting. The snow comes enough to look like a winter wonderland but never enough to shuvel.
The sun comes out all year to allow for a walk along the Beautiful beaches or to catch fresh crabs for dinner. The locals call Bandon part of the bannana belt due to the climate but I've never seen a single bannana tree. There are lots of cranberry bpgs built by farmers wild berries growing everywhere and to my surprise many artichoke plants in neighborhood yards. The climate is rarely extreme in any way. We get some occasional gusts of wind in the winter but the rest of the year its perfectly calm or fabulous kite flying weather.

Being a military veteran I'm very surprised how supportive this town is. The agricultural is very plentiful with cranberries and you can fins cranberry everything in the adorable local Read More
