York City and the surrounding areas provide a fine quality of life. Close to the Maryland line, the area is also close to larger Metropolitan areas such as Baltimore (50 miles) and Washington D.C. I grew up in York. It is beautiful except the nasty winters!Great hiking,lots of other outdoor activities.A small city, big enough that you don't know everybody.Close to lots of big Northeastern cities.People are a little close-minded but very giving.Not openly friendly, for the most part.But once you get to know them very good people.Very much a family-oriented town.Also growing very fast.Large # of people commute to Maryland to work.Cheaper to live in PA & you make more $ in Maryland.They are also looking to put up a minor league baseball stadium.Overall a great place to live, just not overly Read More
