CA to SC. Not a Huge Culture Shock Surprisingly! - 7/8/2020
Me and my husband moved from CA in late 2018 to Fountain Inn, SC. We absolutely love it here so far. We live within walking distance to downtown where they hold an awesome Farmer's Market. Downtown is small but decorated with lights and benches and is clean. Events are always going on, which gives it that family friendly vibe. The police department and fire department are both nearby as well which gives me that extra sense of security. I rarely hear sirens go off, which is a big difference from various cities in CA lol. I love it here and am very happy that we chose Fountain Inn to call our home.

Pros:
-Small town, family-friendly vibes
-People keep to themselves
-Police/Fire department in the heart of downtown
-Within 5-10 miles driving distance of shopping in Simpsonville/Woodruff Rd.
-Main grocery store Bi-Lo is very decent for last minute shopping
-Charming feel of downtown, hosts events and farmer's market
-Storms usually Read More
