Review of Fountain Inn, South Carolina

CA to SC. Not a Huge Culture Shock Surprisingly!
Star Rating - 7/8/2020
Me and my husband moved from CA in late 2018 to Fountain Inn, SC. We absolutely love it here so far. We live within walking distance to downtown where they hold an awesome Farmer's Market. Downtown is small but decorated with lights and benches and is clean. Events are always going on, which gives it that family friendly vibe. The police department and fire department are both nearby as well which gives me that extra sense of security. I rarely hear sirens go off, which is a big difference from various cities in CA lol. I love it here and am very happy that we chose Fountain Inn to call our home.

Pros:
-Small town, family-friendly vibes
-People keep to themselves
-Police/Fire department in the heart of downtown
-Within 5-10 miles driving distance of shopping in Simpsonville/Woodruff Rd.
-Main grocery store Bi-Lo is very decent for last minute shopping
-Charming feel of downtown, hosts events and farmer's market
-Storms usually pass us by, have not had a scary/bad experience just heavy rains and thunderstorms.
-Within excellent roadtrip distance to NC, TN, GA,FL!

Cons:
-The weather is honestly the only thing I give a con on but it's the South, don't know what else to say. Summers are humid and makes it hard to breathe. It's very buggy and insecty during this time. It's just something to get used to. Thunderstorms are insane here and it rains more than average but I've learned to adapt and find the beauty in it.

I would absolutely recommend family and friends to move here!
