No complaints! - 8/12/2023
I moved to the area from FL, along with many others who are moving to the area from places like TX and the Midwest. Do not be mislead by the reviews. Bristol is very quiet and affordable and very accessible to Kingsport, Johnson City, Asheville, Knoxville, Boone, NC and Virginia is just 5 minutes away. If you're coming here expecting a very busy town, it's probably not the place for you, but there's definitely enough to do for it being in rural TN. Application "Black List" AKA Black Hole - 10/23/2019
Update from 2006 - Current is October 2019 - I was born and raised in the Bristol, VA-TN area. Although the crime rate is low compared to many places - the jobs are very SCARCE even with a degree. Not only through experience, but I am a witness to hearing from those who hire "It's great that he/she has a degree, but if they had experience I could put them to work immediately!" Although this is most places, especially here . . . Not one single person can actually give you an answer to how experience can be achieved. As far as I know all businesses no longer have On the Job Training in the state of Tennessee. As for Virginia (just across street) they did bring some On the Job Training back. Obviously, without "On the Job Training" you will not have someone with the best knowledge to fill the positions, after the most knowledgeable people retire. I wish these companies would wake up and realize that!! Reminder to all who read this....The average pay is $8.50 to $10.00 Per Hour. Most Read More
