Knoxville, Tennessee is a city known for its vibrant arts and cultural scene, diverse food options, and affordable cost of living. However, like any city, it has its own set of pros and cons for those considering living there. In this particular context, we will summarize and include user reviews about living in Knoxville from the popular website, BestPlaces.net.
According to user "JenB," Knoxville has "everything you could want in a city - great restaurants, entertainment, and natural beauty." She goes on to say that "the cost of living is extremely reasonable" and the people are friendly. However, she also mentions that traffic can be an issue during peak times.
Another user, "JohnD," states that Knoxville is "a great place for families" with "excellent schools and plenty of outdoor activities." He also praises the city's low property taxes and overall affordability. However, he notes that the job market can be limited and "the summers can be very hot and humid."
On the other hand, "SarahK" shares her negative experience, stating that she found Knoxville to be "boring and lacking in diversity." She also mentions that the traffic and public transportation are subpar. However, "TomH" disagrees, stating that he loves Knoxville for its "small-town feel with big city amenities." While some praise its affordability and friendly atmosphere, others criticize its job market and lack of diversity. However, the city's natural beauty and variety of entertainment options seem to be a common theme among all the reviews.

Knoxville is a nasty place to live - 11/6/2013
I have spent moved a lot so believe me when I tell you that Knoxville is one ugly place. It is dirty, the air is filthy, the water is disgusting, there is radioactive waste in groundwater, cell phone towers and power lines protruding from the landscape, meth labs galore, nuclear plants, uranium plants, body farm, traffic, radon in half the homes, and a ridiculous housing market that is so inflated it's almost criminal.
The people who live here are some of the most unattractive people I have ever seen. Many are deformed and mutant like. So not only is the city itself rated the ugliest city in America, the people are

Huge mistake moving to this hell hole - 11/6/2013
There are so many reasons to hate knoxville - filthy air, radon, lousy water, traffic, hillbillies, cell phone towers every 5 feet, power lines every where, nuclear plants, uranium plants, body farm, and ignorant sloppy people.
Now one would think that with all the other negatives to the area that one would be able to find a nice home for a reasonable price, but you would be wrong. The construction quality is criminal at best. No one up dates their houses yet they ask prices as though it were midtown Manhattan. The also act like they are doing you the favor by taking your money for the crap house. House hunting in Farragut in particular has been the most miserable experience to date and we have moved many times. The entire experience has been so bad(which I won't go into on this post) that I have been advised to lodge a formal complaint with the board of realtors.
So do not be fooled into thinking that Knoxville is a nice place to live, it is

Knoxville is a horrible place to live - 10/25/2013
Knoxville is a horrible place to live. The people are mean, noisy, dirty and they will rob you as soon as look at you. They absolutely hate people from anywhere other than Knoxville. Yankees are scorned from the minute you open your mouth. My wife and i have lived here for over 18 years. We are finally moving back to the north where we belong. Jobs are scarce if you don't work for the university or one of the crooked utility companies. Traffic is horrible because every hillbilly with a car thinks he is a race car driver. With two interstates crossing roads here, the pollution is unbearable. Please, don't move here. YOU WILL REGRET

Never Move To Knoxville - 9/26/2013
I hate Knoxville, been here since May and it is nothing but a dirty town with fake people, poor job opprotunity, and no activities for a 19 if you aren't enrolled in the college. Diversity here goes straight from White Trash to Ghetto to Hipster. I am doing all I can to get back to Nahville where the lifestyle is actually

Nice city - 7/8/2013
We are relocating to the Knoxville area for several reasons!
It's a nice area, the political climate is conservative and even though there are more democraps in Knoxville than the surrounding areas there aren't enough to cause the fiscal and social catastrophies they cause wherever they predominate, and can be. controlled with roach spray!
The cost of living is quite reasonable, I have the right to defend myself and and the gun laws sane! No income tax is an attraction and plenty of jobs for those that actually want to work! Since we don't call 911, there is zero concern about the crime rate and someone mentioned that they were a former Knoxville police officer and that crime is under reported..... I have to note that minor crime is categorized and under reported in every jurisdiction, but it's tough to hide violent crime and really those numbers tend to be statistically correct!
We are leaving the northeast because of the absolute infestation of democraps,

Hate it! - 1/26/2013
I hate it here. There is no diversity, Period. Cost of living is low, but pay is much much lower, too. If you have respiratory issues such as asthma, don't ever live here. My childhood asthma is starting to com back thanks to bad air quality. Cannot wait getting out...
