Lampasas not a match for many! - 8/25/2019
I lived her 14 months and will state there is nothing here. It is a semi country down. Not much class some good churches not the best medical care. Only one HEB and a smaller Walmart. About 3 to 5 decent eateries. Lots of deer and they do kill the deer here. A good hour to Austin thank goodness. Not much great to say about this tiny Town. Not much to say bad either. High Electric/Utility Bills - 3/17/2010
Lampasas Texas combines electric, water, sewer, and trash in one bill. The electric alone for a 1300 sq ft house with 1 person living in it is $282.00 a month. The bill was the same for 2 months in a row. The thermostat is kept at 70 during winter. The City of Lampasas has the contract for utilities. They are not set up for any late payments beyond 12 days. Property taxes are high. I was told by an employee that their rate is comparable to the surrounding areas. I am checking on that
