Great place to visit, great place to live! - 5/21/2019
I spent my formative years in Seymour and it was a great place to grow up. Friendly people, lots of school activities, and loads of folks who took an interest in our success.
I just recently (April 2019) visited Seymour again. The town has changed--and grown!--in ways I never imagined! There is a new high school providing an up to date learning environment, all new sports facilities, and new cafes have joined the classic Rock Inn. The City Hall Cinema shows free movies throughout the year and the Whiteside Museum offers visitors a world class experience with dinosaur fossils found in and around Baylor County.
It's a great place to be! My own plan is to retire and move back to Seymour in the next 5-10 Read More

We have lived in Seymour for 6 years, and my husband grew up here. We have an amazing school system full of intelligent and caring educators, many organizations that are constantly finding ways to help in the community, and kind and friendly people.
We also have a great city chamber that advocates for the best to produce new opportunities for our town. Our sound garden, park, and dinosaur museum are amazing attractions for kids and young families.
I never imagined landing in a small town, and I’m so thankful we are permanently HERE in Seymour, Read More

Love Seymour - 5/20/2019
I was born and raised in Seymour, moved away for 12 years and returned to raise my children. The schools are great, friendly community, and the safest little town to raise kids in. We have a great huge park and city pool. Our town is one big family, we have our ups and downs but wouldn't live anywhere else! Read More

Great place to live and visit. - 5/20/2019
I have lived in Seymour since 1979. I love our town. We have a great school system, low crime rate, and a friendly atmosphere. We have a world renown Museum-Whiteside Museum of Natural History. This is a premier research facility for the Lower Permian of North America. Across the street from the museum is our own Seymour Sound Garden. Beautifully landscaped with 5 fantastic outdoor musical instruments. We also have a wonderful 26.5 acre park with swimming pool. We have great restaurants and places to stay. Come to Seymour and have fun.  Read More

Shhhhh! Don’t tell everyone how great Seymour is! - 5/20/2019
I moved here 15 years ago. Seymour is a great place to live. Beautiful small town where you can be as involved in anything as much as you want. Great places to eat. Friendly people and prices for homes are very reasonable. I enjoy the Perfect proximity to metropolitan areas. I also like the feeling of general safety and friendliness of this small town. There are several lakes close by if you love fishing or water sports. You can dig for dinosaurs here. Hunting is great here. A nice country club with more fishing and golf. Swimming facilities in town. The school and hospital are excellent. There is just too much good to list! I see great things for this community going forward. Read More

We love our small town life!! - 5/20/2019
I was born in Seymour and moved away for College and then started my career in Dallas. As my kids were getting older and started getting into school, I realized that a small town was really what I was looking for. So we moved back to Seymour. The schools are great and we stay busy all year with many different activities. We started our own business, which would not have been possible in a larger town. We love our small town Read More
