Change is Coming - 5/28/2009
I have lived in Wilmer for five years. Currently there is nothing here, no schools, no grocery stores, just highway robbery convenient stores. Oh there is a Dollar General and a Family Dollar store, big deal. Current there are two mobile home communities, Riveroaks the older one and Now again Clayton Crossing! If you are familiar with the Dallas Logistics Hub then you know it is a (30) year project that is now under way. My husband and I made the mistake of buying a double wide home here in Wilmer. The Allen Group out of California tried to purchase our community along with the Riveroaks community but the greedy blanks would not sale! Do they really think they will be able to keep these parks full or at a decent rate of occupancy when we will have nothing but hughe warehouses behind us, across the street from us and on the west side of us? we call this a city but it's not. there no school,only two stores dollar general and family dollar three gas station a railroad station that keep you block in half the time. this is a who you know city if you can get something done. water bill is so high and you can't drink the water it taste so bad.no palace for you to work unless you no someone in office cause it's a family thing in there. as you can see i have nothing good to say. i'm here cause my homes are paid for and that want give you what it is Read More
