Ashburn has earned a reputation as being one of the best places to live in Virginia due to its excellent schools, low crime rate, and attractive amenities. It offers residents plenty of recreational activities, including golf courses, shopping centers, parks, trails, and more. The city is known for its cultural events such as annual festivals and concerts. Moreover, Ashburn has many restaurants that offer delicious cuisines from around the world. Overall, reviews of Ashburn are overwhelmingly positive with people praising its beautiful scenery and vibrant atmosphere. Residents also cite its great dining options as well as numerous recreational opportunities as reasons for wanting to stay in this area.

Too dense and costly - 10/11/2018
We’ve lived here for 10 months and it’s not awesome. The housing costs are insane and the yards are postage stamps with apartments and townhomes lining every road and backing up to single family home neighborhoods. The population is dense. The roads in Ashburn are well maintained and wide, with landscaping that helps hide just how densely it is developed. I will say the community was well-planned to accommodate such a huge load of people. There are strip malls and shopping centers at every corner. Because of this, we call it Cashburn. Sure you may earn $150,000, but the town and surrounding areas make sure you have a million things to spend it on. Go outside of Cashburn, everything is cheaper: dining, gas, entertainment. Most homes are in HOA neighborhoods and the fees are exorbitant. The library system is excellent. There’s a great homeschool community. Ashburn Village, Virginia - 8/29/2015
Ashburn is part of the growing population of Northern Virginia. A planned community, largely built in the 1990's, Ashburn was one of the first developments in eastern Loudoun County to receive the influx of professionals seeking more affordable housing (and willing to commute to jobs in Fairfax County and Washington, DC.) Ashburn Village offers a pleasant and tidy suburban living experience with many amenities including a beautiful sports and recreation complex. Public transportation is virtually nonexistent, however.
Schools in the area are of high quality and the HOA keeps a tight rein on the appearance of the community. Grounds maintenance is superb and trash/recycling services are top rate.
All this comes at a cost however. Home prices have risen to extremely high levels and the general cost of living is quite high. Pace of life is also harrowing at times.
