The reviews of Martinsville, Virginia are overwhelmingly positive. Located in Henry County, Martinsville is a wonderful small town with plenty to do. There are several restaurants and shops in the downtown area, so there’s something for everyone. The city also hosts numerous events throughout the year, such as live music concerts, farmers markets, and holiday celebrations. With its close proximity to both the Blue Ridge Mountains and Smith Mountain Lake, outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of swimming, fishing, camping, hiking and other activities. Additionally, the Historic Philadelphia Church is an excellent place to explore local history. All in all, no matter what your interests may be Martinsville has something for everyone and is a great place to visit or call home!

Mountains to sea wirh great climate! - 2/13/2020
I've lived here almost 40 years and taught economics in the local community college. Ideally situated between Greensboro NC and Roanoke VA. Low housing prices, crime rate, and taxes. Within 50 minutes can access over 200 restaurants and Blue Ridge Parkway----all with small town feel and friendly neighbors.  Read More
