Burien...Seattle's dead partner. - 9/6/2021
In a better time, decades ago, Burien was peaceful, fun place. It was a destination my childhood friends and I frequented on our bicycles and spent the day...all without parental supervision because crime was not even a notion.

Burien is now dead, same as Seattle. Long destroyed by lack of support for the police and the town leaders lack of implementing strong laws and punishment to abate the drugs, crime, homelessness, littering, and street begging. Nonetheless, it is eight miles from downtown Seattle, making it the cheapest housing of any other community so close to the downtown Seattle core. Its crown jewel is a 140-acre Seahurst park in which the entire community can enjoy Puget Sound waterfront, picnics, hiking and a sense of "getting away from the city," just blocks from Burien's downtown Read More

Damn, Summer's Over 10 months of clouds and rain - 12/19/2007
Run down but trying to come back. Cost of living is high and some neighborhoods are shabby although, some are pretty nice. Ten minutes from Seattle makes a short commute for all types of Read More
