Bluefield is an excellent place to retire - 12/3/2018
Wonderful is how i would characterize Bluefield . You cant beat the summer weather, cool breezes, sunny days and not too humid. It is close to ideal. Wonderful mountain views and every sort of outdoor adventure and activity await you. Bluefield is a quick drive to the New River Gorge area with some of America's best whitewater rafting, more gentle in the summer and wild as you want in the spring and fall. We are also close to the Hatfield McCoy ATV trail system which is also regarded as one of the nations best. If you like sports greater Bluefield (VA/WV) has 2 colleges and a minor league baseball team. Your real estate dollar goes very far in Bluefield so you can own a beautiful home for a very reasonable amount. Virginia does an excellent job on the roads and other government services. Taxes are very reasonable and the cost of living for things like insurance and gasoline and everyday necessities are very good. What is most wonderful about Bluefield, VA or WV is the people. I have
