determination of climate - 9/8/2009
This is my first year living in Alaska. My husband wanted to try out a new state for a year or two. The wildlife and landscape is like no other state here in Alaska. I appreciate the state's beauty, however people who live here don't mind the cold and snow. No kidding! If you visit, plan on spending at least a month to take it all Read More

Lots of outdoor activity and wilderness! - 11/1/2007
I've lived in Anchorage, Alaska since 1961. Alaska has lots of outdoor activities and space to enjoy them! Backpacking, camping, white-water rafting, skiing--we have it all!
Drive 10 miles and you are in the wilderness. Amazing colors, beautiful sunsets, summer midnight sun! We still see moose and bear in town!
