What BestPlaces Users Say about Arizona
Arizona is a southwestern state known for its warm climate, stunning landscapes, and diverse population. Many people are drawn to live in Arizona for its outdoor activities, affordable cost of living, and booming job market. However, like any state, it also has its drawbacks. With this command, I will summarize and include excerpts from user reviews about living in Arizona to provide a comprehensive overview of the pros and cons of residing in this particular place.
User Review #1: "I've lived in Arizona for over 10 years and absolutely love it. The weather is perfect for most of the year and there's always something to do, whether it's hiking, going to events, or trying out new restaurants. The cost of living is also very reasonable compared to other states." - Sarah T.
User Review #2: "I moved to Arizona for a job opportunity and have been pleasantly surprised by the welcoming community and diverse culture. However, the summers can be brutal with temperatures reaching over 100 degrees, and the traffic can be frustrating at times." - Michael R.
User Review #3: "Arizona is a great place for retirees with its low taxes and abundance of golf courses. However, the lack of public transportation and limited cultural opportunities can make it feel isolating for younger individuals." - Lisa M.
User Review #4: "Living in Arizona has been a mixed experience for me. The natural beauty is unbeatable, but the constant development and urban sprawl can be overwhelming. Also, the healthcare system here is not the best and I've encountered some issues with it." - David J.

Doesn't get much better...if you can stand the hea - 6/27/2007
Living, working, and playing in Phoenix Metro area can be a lot of fun and quite rewarding at times. As long as those times are Winter and Spring. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty to do outdoors here, just don't expect to do it all in your backyard. The heat can be so stiffling that you're forced to travel long distances in order to enjoy life outside. Good thing Arizona has 4 of the 6 climate zones...so, you can have all the outdoor fun you want without leaving AZ, no matter what you like to

Challenge - 3/17/2007
Hi everyone. Having just endured another horrendous snow/ice storm here in New Jersey, we are ready to pack it in. We would love to move to a much more temperate climate. The challenge is, our hobbies are skiing, mountain biking and sailing (a pretty eclectic mix). My brother in law lives in Las Vegas, and that would be an ideal place for us to move, having Mt. charleston approx. 45 minutes to the north and Lake Mead approx. 15 minutes to the South. We would be happy with 3 seasons but absolutely no snow and no very cold weather in the winter. Any suggestions? My husband is a Mechanical Engineer and I work for a travel agency. Our kids will be out of high school in another year.

Arizona is not the paradise every one speaks of. D - 3/16/2007
I have been in Arizona for 13 years I have never met so many people that are mean and how can I get over you attitude. We have a grey cloud over Phoenix not just for the pollution but also for the kind of people that live here as well. We allow these illegal alliens to come in to our state and use every program we have and drain it. Illegal Alliens are only interested in United States for the dollars and cents nothing less nothing more. Our kids are paying by losing certain subjects so we can teaching English to all these kids trying to get a free ride. My kids deserve better. Does yours? My family and I are out of here. Also we have the worst air and have to clean it up by 5% by next year. With out air there is no life and in Arizona everything is brown, dirty, dusty and just a bad memory from the

Looking for Advise - Moving to Arizona - 10/31/2006
My husband & I are planning to move from Baltimore to Arizona next year. I lived in San Diego's North County for 6 years & have always loved the west. Need something new, warm (hot), with things to do outside.Arizona is such a big state when you've only visited a couple towns. Any input would be great... Looking for typical desert climate (a little snow is OK), something near a lake or creek, affordable housing- but with space (I don't want a cookie cutter house on the back stoop of my neighbor), no lengthy commutes to work & good schools.Anything like this out there? Baltimore sucks unless you are a city dwellin' yuppie. Can't take the smog, lack of nature & rude,narrow-minded, drama-seeking people crowding my
