What BestPlaces Users Say about Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania, also known as the Keystone State, is a popular destination for those looking to settle down and start a new life. With its diverse landscapes, rich history, and bustling cities, it's no surprise that many people choose to call Pennsylvania home. However, like any state, Pennsylvania has its fair share of pros and cons when it comes to living there. To get a better understanding of what it's like to live in Pennsylvania, we'll be summarizing various user reviews from BestPlaces.net in this particular place.

According to Sarah S., who has been living in Pennsylvania for 3 years, "The people here are friendly and the cost of living is reasonable. I especially love the changing seasons and the beautiful fall foliage." On the other hand, John K. shares, "The state has a high tax rate and the job market is not as strong as other states. It can be tough to find decent-paying jobs." These contrasting opinions highlight the balance between the perks and drawbacks of living in Pennsylvania.

Another user, Maria T., emphasizes the state's rich history, stating, "I love the small towns and the historical sites scattered throughout the state. It's a great place for families to raise their kids and learn about American history." This sentiment is echoed by David R., who adds, "The education system here is top-notch, with great schools and universities." These reviews highlight the state's cultural and educational opportunities, making it an attractive place to live for families.

While many users praise Pennsylvania for its natural beauty and charming small towns, some also mention the issue of pollution. As noted by Christine M., "The air and water quality in some areas can be concerning. It's something to consider if you have health concerns." This is a valid concern for those considering living in the state and showcases the importance of doing thorough research before making a decision.

In conclusion, user reviews on BestPlaces.net provide valuable insights into the experience of living in Pennsylvania. The state offers a mix of friendly communities, diverse landscapes, and rich history, but also has its challenges such as high taxes and pollution. Ultimately, the decision to live in Pennsylvania will depend on an individual's personal preferences and priorities.

PA does not make the safety of children a priority when it comes to divorce and custody situations. When it comes to custody and domestic violence Schuylkill County is out to lunch on this dept and is responsible for the victimization of both women and children. Jamestown, NY.........small town, big costs! - 6/6/2006
My town is a fairly small town. The economy is not the best. Most of the jobs available here are factory or minimum wage in restaurants or department stores. The city recently did a reassessment of all the properties in the city, which had not been done in a long time. Because of the enormous increase in the property taxes, there are now homes all over town for sale because people cannot afford the new taxes. As far as things to do here, there's not much of anything except for restaurants, churches, bars and banks. Funny there's so many banks when there are so many people here working for minimum wage or receiving welfare benefits! It used to be a nice place several years ago, but now the neighborhoods are infested with drugs. If someone is thinking of moving here, I would seriously advise them to Read More
